Star light, star bright…The first star I see tonight…

Breathe it in, fresh and easy
The promise of things to come
Look around, light and breezy
The Season of Spring has begun

Listen to the birds, alive with song
They awake me from my slumber
See all of nature from old to young
Seeds of change arising from down under

Enjoy this moment of uplifting re-birth
Feel the energies entice us all
Into trusting our own self worth
Hear the Fae folk give out their call

They call to ask us to join in
With celebration from dark to light
To dance, to play, to eat, to sing
From dusk till dawn we dance to stars bright

The golden daffy’s welcome you
With their flowers holding promise of fun
The shoots of green vibrant and new
We celebrate the coming of the sun

Spring is here, it has begun
Such hope and love and cheers
Lets sit in circle, together as one
To chase away the darkness in our fears

Sing out, dance out, for today is the day
The day that outshines the night
Speak out, play out, have your say
For the Spring will help us shine our light

From the darkness of death I arise!

I feel them… your roots entwine with mine
Your energy soaring through my blood
Pulling me deeper into myself
Taking me on a journey through the hearts mud

The darkness at first makes me contract
For my eyes do not open to see
They fill with dust and dark and death
I do not know how to just be

I can’t breathe, I can’t breathe! I will surely die
Yet your roots keep pulling me further
Why will you not stop this endless task
Of taking me before my mother?

“Be like water, be like earth,
Be like air and fire
Together we will be born again
It is your birth that I desire

As like phoenix, you will rise
Beyond all recognition
Your body is dying, you are no longer whole
Death has to be your only transition”

I hear you, I feel you, I’ll now be still
For I know this darkness I endure
Will be the end of harmful ways
Taking me back to myself true and pure

For in the darkness I see a light
From what direction I do not know
Yet the warmth of its heart whispers to mine
Not to fear for death is not my foe

To die a death and be reborn
Is all within natures course
To allow the darkness to eat you up
And emerge a new life force

“I am you and you are me
There is no difference within
For one love, one energy, one source
Is where our hearts do begin

I hear you, I feel you, I am you too
The darkness has seen me through
We are at one with our death, our life and love
The phoenix within me and you”

6 Feet Tall!!!

Upon a toadstool sits a man
Of no more than 3 inches tall
I ask him what he wants from me
He says he’s taking me to a ball

I look upon him with question
I doubt he speaks the truth
For how can a man of 3 inches
Escort a lady without her youth?

For I am but an elderly crone
I have wrinkles in many places
Why would a creature of such beauty
Want to be seen with a lady of such faces?

He shakes his head and smiles at me
Our difference is our beauty
If we were all the same my dove
The love of dance would become only duty

So off I went with this man of truth
To a place of love & fate
Were no -one compared one another
As we danced the dance of the mate

The dance brought all living things
Together as one and all
I will never forget the day I danced
With a 3 inch man who danced 6 feet tall

I pledge…..

I step towards you, my inner light
More and more each day
I feel my essence within your core
I listen to all you say

I know I may have forgotten
In the past how to hold you close
I know I may not have believed in you
And saw you only as ghost

But today something is different
I have a stirring deep inside
I know we are connecting
As one far and wide

I place my hands upon your skin
I feel the warmth draw up
Up into my physical body
Within my heart I do cup

I see all you have given me
I see all that you give
I hear your voice pass over me
Your whispers in the wind

I feel your tears shed for me
I see them soaring by
I acknowledge all I have done to you
I know in your heart you sigh

For all you want is harmony
To live as one, as all
I sense it in every breath I take
I see it within the trees so tall

Mother Earth I hear your heartbeat
I drum along to be with you
I recognise all I have taken
To give back is the least I can do

I pledge my heart unto you
I pledge my honour and word
I promise I will think of you
For you are my love, my being, my world

I am Tiger… Watch me rOAr!!

I am tiger, watch me roar
But where you’ll find me
I do not know
For I no longer walk with you

My coat is blue, am I a myth?
Along with my black cloaked friend
For I was sure I had survived
Within my home above land

Yet man wanted proof
He shot me down, to see if I was real
Now they believe but cannot see
For I no longer am around to prowl

Yet I see in my domestic friend
That my line runs deep and true
In homes across the land
My ancestors walk onwards, through

I cry of warning, a roar of truth
I in-still within your heart
Keep our peace, keep our being
For we were with you from the start

Ignore our plea and you will lose
The mystic ways we portray
Be loving of our beautiful breed
Be careful of whom you obey

If you ask I will come to you
A mystic beast who walked your earth
I hold the key to forgotten times
Where we lived as one in peace

Behold your actions of regret
And choose to follow your heart
Although I do not walk your paths
We will never truly be apart

Mother Spider, I thank you…

I look upon your intricate design
And wonder how long it took
To weave a home of magick
Which changes within a look

Your fine art reminds me of a dream
That happened the past night
Where I weaved my own web
Of wonder and future sight

I was able to see my dreams
Become my own reality
Where woman dance and play
Together in their unity

I saw us each with our own Silver thread

Connected to the Great Mystery
I saw how each intertwined
Through new life and past history

My vision looked down to those on earth
And the sight removed my breath
For each of us had made a pattern
Together creating a web

With each word that is spoken
With each action that is done
Our design took shape like no other
A magick web our lives had become

So Mother Spider I thank you
For all you have taught
For the dreams you have woven
For our truth you did sought

In your web of creativity
I hope to find my way
Weaving lives of wonder
In all we do and say

My excitement I couldn’t control
For your love is unconditional

I saw the spirit in your heart,
she talked to me
I jumped and danced for joy
For your spirit has so much joy for the world
In every imaginable way

You asked me about your heart today,
and I told you
You always really knew
For your heart, it leads you forward
In every imaginable way

allow me to connect

In her shoes…..

For the women who are brave enough to share their stories…..

There was a story I had heard
Of a woman’s strife with life
I was shocked and without words
That, that woman had survived

I asked myself, ‘what would I have done
If I were in her own shoes?’
The answer never came at first
For I was bewildered and confused

How can she get up in the morning
Living with her pain?
How can she survive in this world
When the scarring is there to be seen?

So I sat for a while and began to think
Of the actions I would of taken
Of how I would of felt
In the situation of life’s own making

The tears they flowed down my face
As I realised the truth
This story was not unlike my own
For I too had been hurt and bruised

When I started to look within
When I recognised the threads
I saw myself from the other woman’s eyes
I saw my own true self

I have loved, I have cried
I have been strong and have been weak
I have raged, I have been scathed
I have been high and have been meek

But most of all, I have survived
I have grown stronger in myself
I have had support, I have been alone
Been honoured and misunderstood

Yet I’m still here to share my shoes
As did this woman so strong
For each of us have a past
A story to be passed on….

My Meeting with You..

Take away the fear in my heart
For there is no place for it there
Clear my mind of the mind numbing confusion
Of the voices which perturb within

I ask for your help with doubt you are there
I ask for your help regardless
No longer able to hold onto this reality
I ask you to take me away

A jumble, a mess, of varied pain
A problem doubled in size
A scarring which runs deeper than me
Leaves me breathless and unable to understand

Yet your voice enters me, it unlocks my truth
It resonates with a vibration so intense
It removes the haze with a loving embrace
So I can see what is within for myself

You say to do nothing and you still my heart
No decision needs to be achieved
You say to shine and give me your light
To show to the world of my pain

I ask and you delivered, a non-believer set free
Of the restraints of my conforming world
And though I listen to your direction, I still feel unease
For the words which you gave unconditionally

Yet I promise to allow my own heart to unfold
From the tight knot I believe it to be
For today I will do nothing at all
Other than believe in my own inner strength

Thank you, thank you and thank you again
For hearing and coming to my needs
I know for I am blessed to be part of this world
With you to guide onto me….
