Happy Beltane or Samhain depending on what part of the world you are in!!

In the Scottish Borders we are finally clear of snow.  The daffodils have bloomed and there is a definite lightness in the air!!  It has been a long Winter over here and now it is time to awaken, stretch out and reach for the highs of the Beltane energies!!

As always, there has been a fair amount going on in Starlight.  I am offering a unique new service that hones my Intuitive skills as an Oracle and gives those that come to me for assistance, a deep, intuitive guidance into their true being, into the answers to the life questions each of us has.  To find out more please follow this link.

We are well on our way to publishing our Anam Cara Awareness Cards, these should be on sale from the end of the Summer which is hugely exciting!!  Right now all the artwork is in the process of being painted and finished, offering a wonderful personal touch to each card.  We will be taking pre-bookings of these cards in the next few months, so keep a little eye on your inbox for that!!

At our home at The Golden Leaf in Peebles we have had some wonderful new therapists join our team.  Do pop over there to hear all about their new offerings to the Borders area!!

In February we joined the wonderful world of Arbonne and begun our Health & Wellbeing business offering fantastic Skincare and nutritional products.  It’s been such an amazing time with promotions, support, fantastic mentoring.  Arbonne has really help drive our self development in business not to mention the amazing range of products that have helped me work towards achieving my ideal weight and fitness levels as well as using products which are harmful chemical free, botanical and pure!!  My skin has never felt so wonderful and My energy levels are bouncing!!  If you want to hear more about Arbonne, pop on over here!

Oh what a wonderful start to 2013 we’ve had!!  Our new home The Golden Leaf is truly wonderful with lots of people visiting us for therapies, workshops and events!!  It really is a beautiful place to come to with a wide range of therapies and workshops available, with LOADS more to come.  Please do follow us on our FB Page to keep up to date with all our new offerings.

My husband, Barry has also joined the Arbonne business and to launch it he is partaking in a charity ‘Chop off’, where he will be getting his hair cut off (that he has been growing for 3 years!!) and donating it to Little Princess Trust who donate real hair wigs to children who have lost their hair due to Cancer treatments and Alopecia.  Our 11 year old daughter, Abbie is joining her Daddy and she too is cutting her hair and donating it (her hair is nearly down to her bottom!!)  If you are local and would like to join us please do come to:

I experienced my first ever plant ceremony on Saturday 26th January with Annu Tara, Scott Rennie and my guide who was the Cacao Deva and what an experience.

At first I was very nervous to join these wonderful teachers and guides, I could feel my resistance to this inevitable change which manifested itself in being snowed in the night before.  I knew deep within me that I needed to be there, that she had been calling me for quite some time and although I was apprehensive I was ready to be her student.

I arrived at the Edinburgh Venue unsure of what my experience would be, but open to accept and receive.  I had all I needed to be comfortable, food to share, my sacred items for the altar and I had my intention… I was present.

Sitting in circle at the beginning I could feel the energy rise inside of me, all around me and with each and every person in the room… I could feel the excitement, worry, intrigue and hesitance in myself and each person.  I had listened to Annu sharing in her experience and the experience of others as to what this Plant Teacher can show us, physically, emotionally and spiritually and although I had my concerns, I trusted.

The time came when we opened up to the Medicine, I reached forward and took my first taste… It was thick and bitter and had a slight perfumed taste, the beautiful man next to me said it reminded him of Turkish Delight.  Instantly I could feel it hit my stomach. I looked at my Ceremony friends and could instantly see their own energy fields, something I have done before but had to concentrate on.  I moved back to my blankets and nest and relaxed into whatever I was going to experience in the journey.  My heart started to beat strongly in my chest, I felt a static energy flow through my body and aura.  I could feel the medicine move through my stomach, opening it, filling it with its richness.  Then the music began… each sound, each word, each beat of the rhythm moved through and within me.  I experienced such a connection with it as if my own being was wrapped around it.  I ‘felt’ it in such a way that was new to me.

3 hours of journeying felt like 1.  I experienced so many different sensations, my own and of those around me.  At one point Annu came to me, before she sat down I could feel her energy meld with my own and I opened myself to her healing vibrations.  It felt Divine to be touched, held and loved in this way.  It was then that I fully connected with my own sensual nature, something which I have suppressed for so long, for fear that it would compromise my sexuality.  In those moments during my journey I could see, sense and feel that there were not one in the same, I could still be sensual and connect fully with my sensuality without feelings of being disloyal in my sexuality.

So many lessons were learnt, so much awareness were gifted to me, some that I am still processing.

On a physical level I found out that this plant has helped with my IBS which I was surprised about as I thought it would have had the opposite effect.  I can see the medicinal positives to this plant, this teacher to heal me on so many levels.

The following day I felt complete Bliss… I felt the love in my heart open up like the opening of a Lotus Flower.  It felt truly Divine!!  I had a great pull to be near a Waterfall.  Knowing that its energies would help the purifying and cleansing process.  Not 10 minutes drive from my home myself and my family came across this waterfall at The Flotterstone at the foot of the Pentland Hills.  It felt so magical to sit with it, listen to it.  I know the experience was heightened due to the Cacoa Goddess being within me, guiding me to heal my Sacral.

I can still feel her teachings running through my veins… I can feel her transforming me from the inside out and although there is a part of me wanting to hold onto the old for fear of the unknown I trust her… My Goddess, do I trust her….

It has been and still is such a profound experience and one I’m sure I will share in again.  I send my gratitude to the wonderful Annu & Scott who held the Sacred Space, to all of those who shared in Ceremony with me and to my Goddess of the Plant Medicine… Dear Cacao Deva xx

It’s back!!  Starlights’ Pay What You Can Reiki I Training!!

A wonderful way in which to gift yourself the ability to heal. Reiki I is a doorway into empowerment. It gives you the tools, knowledge and ability to be able to heal yourself and your loved ones.

It is such a privilege to be able to offer this workshop as Pay What You Can.  It is my strong belief that energy work is open and accessible to everyone.  If we all had this amazing ability and tool in our lives there would be less need to look out with ourselves in order to love, understand and heal ourselves.  Reiki was my own doorway into truly connecting with who I am, to be able to heal old hurts and also to open up my other abilities.  To share this knowledge with others truly is my heart purpose!!

Minimum age 13 (For those aged between 5 and 13 I also offer a Reiki I Workshop especially for children, please contact me for further details!)

Sun 19th May 10.30am – 5.00pm

Certified Reiki I course including Training, Attunement and Manual.
